Aluminium Powder
Aluminium powder for foundry, exothermic feeder and metallurgical applications
Aluminium powder — also spelled aluminum powder — is a core input of the metallurgical and foundry industries thanks to its high reactivity and high heat of combustion. It is used in the production of exothermic feeder sleeves and exothermic powders, for deoxidation in steelmaking and in aluminothermic (thermite) reactions, as the pore-forming agent in autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), in powder metallurgy and friction materials, as a metallic pigment in paints and coatings, and in pyrotechnic and defence applications. It can be supplied in a range of particle size distributions (micron ranges) and in spherical/atomised or flake form — contact us for the grade and granulometry that match your application. Shipped in big bags, drums and sacks, with a batch certificate of analysis available on request. Aluminium powder is a reactive, dust-forming material and must be stored dry, in sealed packaging and away from ignition sources.
